OUR TEAM

Trina

Trina Glick Jensen has a beautiful family, a sweet husband, and four beautiful daughters and two cute puppies. Her love for music and dance started at the very young age of two when Trina’s mom put her in her first ballet class. She has been in dance ever since. Trina was able to travel and perform as a teenager and throughout her high school years. She was in high school when she decided to do cheer and song, leading to her first job with the United Spirit Assocation. Trina traveled around the United States, teaching cheer and songleading to high school and college teams every summer for five years. 

In between those five years, Trina studied ballet at UVSC for one year. She also had the amazing opportunity to dance with a professional company in Utah called Odyssey, performing in their production of Thriller in Salt Lake and Las Vegas at the Venetian Hotel for a couple of weeks. Trina also taught jazz, hip hop, ballet and tumbling at several dance studios in Sandy, Utah. She also had the incredible opportunity to dance for the band KISS for the 2002 Winter Olympics closing ceremonies. 

Trina took a break from teaching and dancing to have her four daughters. After her last daughter turned one, she decided it was time to get back into shape and that’s when she discovered Zumba. Trina certified in Zumba and started teaching right away, which led her to a hip hop-based dance cardio class called Phunkfit - and she was hooked! She was already in love with dance fitness at this point, and knew she had found something that spoke directly to herself as a former dancer and someone wanting to stay in shape. 

The creator of Phunkfit asked if Trina would certify with her and she did, becoming one of the choreographers for the Phunkfit team. Her love for dance fitness and group fitness grew exponentially over the last five years of teaching Phunkfit and Zumba, and led her to create a new format called NRG Dance Fitness. 

The NRG format is for every single person, dancer and non-dancer, old and young, male and female. If you love the way music makes them feel and what movement can do for your mind, your body, and your soul - you belong in an NRG class! Trina loves the way dance makes her feel and she is passionate about sharing that joy with everyone. She loves seeing others reach their potential through dance and movement, and loves seeing the happiness dance and music can bring to each person’s life. Let’s keep dancing and spreading the joy of dance fitness!

Stephanie

Born with an undeniable rhythm pulsing through her veins, Stephanie discovered her love for dance at a young age. From the moment she stepped onto the dance floor, she knew that movement was her true calling. While she explored various dance styles, it was the raw energy and expressive nature of hip-hop that truly captivated her soul.

Fuelled by her passion for dance, Stephanie embarked on a journey to elevate her dance skills to new heights. With relentless determination and unwavering dedication, she honed her craft, immersing herself in all forms of dance. Her talent and drive got her opportunities to perform with professional dance companies, leading to opportunities to perform on stages around the world.

As she traveled from city to city, mesmerizing audiences with her electrifying performances, Stephanie found herself longing for something more. The demands of the professional dance world were intense, and she yearned for a sense of stability and balance in her life. Thus, when the time came, she made the difficult decision to step away from the spotlight and start a family.

However, even as she embraced her new role as a mother, Stephanie couldn’t suppress her innate need to move and groove. With a desire to stay connected to her passion for movement, she delved into the world of fitness, eager to explore new avenues of self-expression.

Over the years, Stephanie immersed herself in various fitness formats, sharing her expertise and infectious energy with eager students. Yet, it was in the realm of dance cardio that she found her true calling. Drawing from her deep-rooted love for hip-hop, she crafted her own unique dance fitness format, infusing it with urban flair and infectious beats.

Through her classes, Stephanie found a sense of fulfillment unlike anything she had experienced before. For her, dance was not just a form of exercise; it was a form of therapy—a way to reconnect with herself and others on a profound level. With each routine, she witnessed the transformative power of dance, as her students shed their inhibitions and embraced their inner dancers.

Today, Stephanie continues to spread the joy of dance through her innovative fitness format. Whether she’s leading a class or mentoring aspiring instructors, she remains dedicated to sharing her passion with the world. For Stephanie, dance isn’t just a hobby or a career—it’s a way of life, a source of inspiration and empowerment for all who are fortunate enough to experience it.

PWR CREW

The PWR CREW is our NRG Dance Fitness certified  instructors specializing in urban hip hop bring a fusion of energy, rhythm, and creativity to their classes. With extensive training and accreditation, they seamlessly blend elements of traditional hip hop dance with aerobic exercises, creating dynamic routines that cater to various fitness levels. Their classes are characterized by infectious beats, lively movements, and a supportive atmosphere that motivates participants to push their limits while having fun. Through their passion for dance and fitness, these instructors inspire students to embrace their individuality, express themselves, and achieve their fitness goals with style and flair.
